"How to Write, and Evolve, Your Artistic Statement" Free Online Workshop
HONOR ROLL MEMBERS ONLY
Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 7-8:30pm EST
As our lives evolve, so should our artistic statements. This is especially true for those of us who might have stepped way from writing for a while (kids! careers! life!) and now need to integrate our over-full lives into our new statements. We’ll read and discuss a few successful artistic statements, do a writing exercise to help generate artistic statement material, and talk about how to shape that material for different opportunities (including new play development and theatre fellowships).
Workshop Leader Jacqueline Goldfinger (she/they) is a playwright, dramaturg, and librettist. She’s best known for Off-Broadway’s “Backwards Forwards Back” and the popular play with music, “The Arsonists.” She’s taught playwriting and dramaturgy at UC Davis, UPenn, and others.
